Vintage actors /actresses - Britmovie

Has there ever been a book published on early British screen actors from the 20's to the 50's. similar in vein to the Picturegoer Who's who magazine, while this is mentioned is there a list of the copies they published and tthe years covered, thanks.

I have the Picture Show Who's Who on the screen book that boasts 1,800 biographies and photographs on the cover. The main thing about this book is that I feel it was the model for the Peter Blake concept for Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band by The Beatles. Lots of stars assembled in a montage on a staircase, from John Wayne as Genghis Khan to Anna Neagle in a ball gown! I also have many of the Maurice Speed Film Review annuals dating from 1944.
