Default Film Annuals.

I wonder If this thread will prove interesting. I've already put two albums in 'Robert Newton' and 'Errol Flynn' postings. Anyone else want to add anything?

I have most of the F Maurice Speed annuals dating back to 1944.

The picture of Alan Ladd in black Western dress on the 'Film Parade' cover must be from 'Whispering Smith' (1948)

will have to look mine on, not as impressive as yours Earl , but love my Spencer Tracey magazine, a Film Review, and a really old type of supplement with a very young Joan Crawford and Jimmy Stewart in Ill look them out later.

Some great covers, earl. Interesting to see the Boys' Cinema Annual 1950 with a scene from Hamlet on the front!

I bought the Clapperboard book in a second hand book shop years ago, a good annual and a fitting souvenier of a very worthy programme.

This, obviously, is not the cover of the 007 annual I was referring to.

I much prefer this one to the 007 but it just goes to show what inflation can do when run rampant. Still - animal lovers will love those gorgeous 'little' puppies with the cute noses.

Eat your heart out movie buffs, I've just picked up another movie annual to add to my collection pictured at the top of this thread. It's called 'Stars and Films of 1937' published by the Daily Express and edited by their movie critic Stephen Watts. The price? 10p at a car boot sale. What a wealth of photos and information eg: average cinema admission price 10p .It's given me some wonderful ideas to add to the thread 'From real Life' but I'm quite intimidated by regular posters like Batman, Penfold and the like and their considerable movie knowledge.
