Default British technicolor films (1948) by John Huntley

Reluctantly going to Chichester with Mrs T on a shopping trip, my eyes lit up when I saw a copy of this book in the Oxfam shop. The book is an absolute mine of information and contains sections on all 25 British made technicolor feature films from 1937 to 1948 - including a BLACK and WHITE still from each film! - (remember it was printed 60 years ago). There is also a full "who's who" section with biographical details of over 50 directors and technicians, and a series of articles covering every aspect of the technology involved with technicolor and other processes including Dufaycolour. This might be quite a rare book, its certainly the first copy I've come across in all my years of browsing in second hand bookshops!

That's the wonder of second hand bookshops!

AbeBooks have a couple, they're priced between £10 to £15.

Most 10x8 studio stills were in B&W, even for the colour films, until well past the 1960s. John might well have used those
