Muriel Spark's most successful novel was made into the film, THE PRIME OF MISS JEAN BRODIE (1969), starring Oscar-winning Maggie Smith - and Celia Johnson equally impressive as Miss Mackay, the headmistress.



'Muriel Spark - The Biography' is published, later this month, after 17 years work by author Martin Stannard.
