Default Anyone applying for game shows?

Is there anyone here who has been on any or is applying to go on any game shows (then we could cheer you on)? I am tempted to apply for `who wants to be a millionaire` but of course I never will . I would like to see more people beat those horrible `eggheads` which is shown on afternoons.

Just wondering

Fagins girl.

Hi Faginsgirl
I have been on 15-1 twice and I nearly was a contestant on Eggheads, but I couldn't get time off for the auditions. My team would be team was the Billingham Cons (ie Billingham Constitutional Club),a lad from Norton took my place.
I have been a contestant on a quiz on the Great North Radio,as well as being on Ken Bruce Pop Master Quiz on BBC Radio 2,along with Steve Wright's Big Quiz. I have also appeared on BBC Radio 4's Screen Test with Brian Sibley, where I got to the semi-final in Manchester.

I'm afraid not and I can't say whether they would have won if I was there.

I've been on Eggheads. As the team on before us won £20,000 I couldn't see us winning as it would have destroyed the whole premise of the show - and we didn't. I know Kevin - he's a personal friend of mine and a more unassuming chap you could not wish to meet. You have to remember that Eggheads is an entertainment programme not a quiz show. A bit like Saturday afternoon wrestling on ITV, it's all an act

A recent viewing of The Weakest Link revealed to me how thick many of the contestants on there really are. I was going to apply for Deal or No Deal but I haven't got a sob story and I like to think outside the box. I am convinced that Eggheads is rigged because the inept personality-challenged presenter doesn't have two separate piles of question cards for who goes first and who goes second, he just seems to read them anyway he wants to and always gives challengers obscure questions and the Eggheads easy ones (or easy to work out ones)!

I once took part in a radio phone in quiz many moons ago and won some record tokens! Winning question was.....who had a number one hit with "The Good the Bad the Ugly" Loads of people phoned in with the wrong answer, I bet all you Brit Movie eggheads would get it straight away..... as Jimmy Saville used to say, "I'll give you 3 points for the artist and 2 points for the year.....

Spot on Marky B, Hugo Montenegro and his Orchestra, it was of course composed by Ennio Morricone but Hugo's version was the number 1. 5 points to you and the record tokens are in the post....
