Not only that, she has a foundation set up here in the Philippines and puts hundreds of poor kids through school and college and it's not acknowledged, how many of those that we love on the TV do that? So why hate her? Hate is the wrong word....not like, is so much better.

[quote=Modestyblaise;172123]I don't mind Kerry Katona - I feel quite sorry for her.

She's well off now..but she had a godawful upbringing and has done quite well considering.
Neither she or youngest Nolan could ever persuade me to shop anywhere though..I fancy they rarely buy Turkey Twizzlers from Iceland themselves..

Sorry Modesty but many people experience a difficult upbringing but not all go on to become annoying attention seeking wobble bottoms who swear like a docker in an irritating voice and for all that get voted mum of the year despite having spent most of that year in rehab! I mean, what's my mum (God bless her) got to do to wrench that title away from her? Sell smack to pensioners in Asda? Having said this, i'm all for inviting her to be a guest on my new TV reality show, 'Celebrity Lion Taming' which will also star Les Dennis, Peter Andre, that Burrell bloke, the entire participants of every Big Brother ever and Derek Acorah if you like. Well, I feel better for that rant.

What do you mean, I am one of the faces!!

A mate of mine used to work at bernard Matthews where Turkey Twizzlers are made. Apparently they begin life as the off cuts of turkey sausages .... specifically the bits that don't fit into the sausage making tubes.

OK...

Kerry Katona..well, it isn't her 'fault' if she's been voted 'Mother of the year' - I don't know who did..but, yes, I'd say they were very, very silly indeed...
However, I often hear complaints that people who grew up on council estates, in care, on the dole etc are now mostly 'layabouts' who do nothing to help themselves - and yet, here is a prime example of someone who has done a great deal to 'help' herself and yet she gets knocked...

I have just noticed that the same magazines who come up with these bizarrely founded 'awards' tend to be the same people who then, a week later, come up with some pic of her looking miserable and 'drug addicted'. It seems to be a way of generating stories and what really bothers me, I suppose, is that the nice, university educated, middle class girls writing these columns seem to particularly enjoy 'exposing' what they might term as 'Chav' success stories..

Oddly enough, I have just discovered 'Lynn Barber' and am currently reading all I can by her..not sure about her yet..she seems a bit mean..but, coincidentally, she interviewed Kerry last year and it is quite revealing..

Lynn Barber meets Kerry Katona | Woman | The Observer

Kerry seems, more or less, as I suspected..a seemingly kind and vulnerable woman surrounded by no-one she can genuinely trust...
