I used to see quite a lot of Mr Murray in the early seventies in a very humble eatery just off Oxford St.

Always very smart and very courteous to anyone who approached him. A true Gentleman

We've been friends for years and as you say very polite and courteous. He's also one hell of a laugh.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Thanks earlb - Had a nostalgic dip into the Luxy site and re-lived those theme tunes and commercials. This also reminded me of the Connie Francis version of "It's Time To Say Goodnight" which Luxy also used later on.
I have this on an old Connie Francis album hidden in a cupboard somewhere - I think I'll root it out and give it a spin!
Who said vinyl was dead!

I've still got the copy master of that track including an outake from it where she goes wrong. BONG.

Many years ago I bought his book, One Day I'll Forget My Trousers, a very amusing autobiography. You can still get copies of this via Amazon - some very cheaply through third-parties.

Did anyone read Pete's autobiography "One Day I will Forget My Trousers." the title refers to his days in the theatre in farces.
