Default Monk

Off topic I know, but fans might like to know that under-rated Emmy award winning series 4 of Monk starts on Sat. 14th Oct. at 4pm BBC2. Guest stars Jason Alexander.

Is there any sign of this programme coming back on BBC 2? I do miss it.

I love this programme for personal reasons - my favourite episode is the one where his keys fell into an open coffin during the funeral service!

Can't wait for a new series - but I preferred his first 'minder'; she had attitude!

Sharona, I liked her too. I remember the coffin incident, plus the one where he had to put his hand up a drainpipe .... priceless!

I liked her as well. I get syndicated e-mails from US Network, telling me about the new epsiodes of Monk, but as yet we have not received them.
I'll admit the storylines are far fetched, but it is a very entertaining show with Tony Shalhoub not only pulling off a good comedy performance, but when he laments the death of his wife,Trudy,it is very moving.

I have just learnt that Stanley Kamel, who plays Monk's shrink, has died this month after a heart attack. Didn't know much about the actor, but he was brilliant as the kindly and very patient doctor.

He had a familiar face but I could never remember the films he had appeared in.
I liked him in Monk and Saturday's episode gave him a more substantial role.

RIP

I was looking up yeserday's cast list on the IMDB,when I thought I would have a look at Stanley's other work,it was then I found he had died on 8 April.
Yesterday's show was a hoot - especially Monk and the other patient vying over the attention of the good doctor.

This series is for me an improvement on the previous one.
