Default National Media Museum Bradford

I was thinking of visiting this museum>however it is a 6hour round trip from North London. So before i commit myself to such a journey i would like to hear from anyone out there who has visited it.In particular i would like to know whether you consider it worth visiting, any particular highlights and approximately how long it took you to go round the museum.

Hi,the museum is ok but like any great institution it is ruled by red tape.I have been waiting for years for them to get the Hammer film collection going.i think its probably gathering dust somewhere in the bowels. The best time to visit is the film festival,in recent years they have had Jenny Agutter,Malcolm Mc Dowall and the great Ian Charmichael on stage.although this year they pooped with the dire Michael Parkinson.SO its hit and miss,a little like the bfi.The people that run these places are museum curators, not film enthusiasts..except of course for Tony Earnshaw who I will not have a bad word said against him..visit his site, you will probabaly gain more than from a six hour trek...plus most of Bradford has been demolished and lays in a sorry state..Billy Fisher is in tears..Momi in London was better, but that was staffed by imbeciles

I SAY THERE BOY!

I didn't even know they had a Hammer film collection. The artistic director of their film programming side, Tony Earnshaw, is a huge Hammer fan - I'll have to ask him about that.

For this years Fantasy Film Festival I lent them my Countess Dracula quad poster.
