Smudge, from the Good News Department, at least perhaps BBC recognizes they don't have the management skills to run a studio and the bean-counters calculated that anyone else can run Elstree better.

I wonder if someone in Arizona is buying it, chopping it up into quandrants and rebuilding it on the shores of Lake Gitchygoomee? I think they bought that, too.

I can't wait for the BBC to put themselves up for sale, calculating that they don't know how to run a network either.

LOL I could always buy it and rebuild it on the shores of the canal, as an annexe to Smudge Towers !

I suspect it's yet another cost cutting exercise which will cost more in the long term, like shipping their staff out to independent programme makers then being charged a fortune for films which are edited so as to cast aspersions about HRH
