Not so cheap as expected. DVDs come from the States and every DVD is marked as >Ships to U.S. Destinations Only<

    Hi, Wilfried,

The Warner on-demand dvds are also available at Amazon.com which does ship out of the US. I don't know what Amazon would charge you for shipping.

    Best,

A lot of Warner Archive DVDs are also available from Axelmusic - and they don't charge import duties. (They do charge more, though :)) But I have ordered a few, and they have all arrived safely here in the UK.

Not sure if this is allowed (sorry if it isn't) but this lists all the Warner Archive DVDs on axelmusic:

I'd forgotten about import duties. Do you pay duty on even one DVD coming into the UK, or what are import duties based on for a non-business ?

I think that the lower limit is £18 - anything over that is liable to import duties!

But not everything over that limit gets charged. They seem to just charge a few items

I'm glad to hear that. What with the cost of the item and the high shipping to the UK, it's hard to then pay duty! on it. And ditto in the reverse. I bought a 5.00 gbp item on Ebay and was charged an equal 5 gbp for shipping!

I suspect we are spoiled in not paying duty (or I never have) on DVDs and the like being shipped over. I'm sure that expensive artwork and the like coming in will be charged duty, but not small things like DVDs or ordinary books.
