Let me be controversial - it is Christmas after all - they'd have to give it away!

Start every day with a smile and get it over with.

I picked up a load of bargain basement brand new DVDs for 50 pence, including Norman Wisdom in The Girl on the Boat. One I'd not seen before and it was awful. Co-stars were Millicent Martin, Sheila Hancock, Bernard Cribbins and Richard Briars. Possibly the worst film I've ever seen!

Other bargains in the pile were newly re-mastered Citizen Kane for £1.50, an early Brian de Palma film from 1966 with a young Robert De Niro 50p, The French Connection 50p, The Life and Death of Peter Sellers 50p, Rear Window and North By North West £1.50, and Once Upon a Time in America for 50p.

Of these I've watched The Life and Death of Peter Sellers and it was excellent.

So many films and so little time to watched the damned things!

Presume you're referring to GREETINGS (1968); first saw it at the Scala, I think, and maybe still have the old laserdisc. Good offbeat of-its-time little flick, and the 1970 sequel HI MOM! is also now out on DVD. De Palma's even earlier MURDER A LA MOD also recently surfaced on DVD from SWV...I have it, but yet to watch it.
