he still makes me laugh today does will hay ,if you watch the beginning of ask a policeman ,where hay , moffat and marriott in the guise of police , set up a speed trap to make it look like theyre doing something and score some easy convictions ,you realise things havent changed much in 70 odd years

Indeed - 70 years on from Ask a Policemen there are still no shortage of drivers who believe that the law doesn't apply to them and that they can drive perfectly safely over the speed limit
