Default Catweazle - Season 1 £6.99

From the folks at Network

Catweazle – the all-time children’s classic appears for the first time on DVD!

Geoffrey Bayldon stars as the eleventh century magician, Catweazle, who escaped from soldiers through time to find himself nine centuries into the future. His magic is very hit-and-miss and it is compounded by his inability to deal with the trappings of modern-day life, such as electricity (“electrickery”) and the telephone (“telling bone”), but he is befriended by a farmer’s son and they share a number of unpredictable adventures together. It is written and created by Richard Carpenter, who is also responsible for such shows as THE ADVENTURES OF BLACK BEAUTY, THE GHOSTS OF MOTLEY HALL and ROBIN OF SHERWOOD, and is presented on DVD for the first time in a digitally remastered format.

This award-winning children’s series will appeal to people who liked Richard Carpenter’s other series (BLACK BEAUTY, ROBIN OF SHERWOOD), nostalgists who bought DVDs of series like BAGPUSS and THE CLANGERS and archive television fans.

This set features the following episodes:

• The Sun in a Bottle
• Castle Saburac
• The Curse of Rapkyn
• The Witching Hour
• The Eye of Time
• The Magic Face
• The Telling Bone
• The Power of Adamcos
• The Demi Devil
• The House of the Sorceror
• The Flying Broomsticks
• The Wisdom of Solomon
• The Trickery Lantern

It's Network's 'Deal of the Week' so you'll need to get your orders in quick.

I wish I had claws.

Wish it was that cheap when I bought mine last year

Still worth it. Classic stuff. Seem to recall it was broadcast at Sunday tea time?

If I wasn't meant to drive that fast, the pedal would stop half way!!

I have made that mistake with two or three Network sets .... unless it's a 'must have now' scenario I think I'll wait a bit in future.
