Post Simply Home Entertainment

Just received my May issue of Simply HE magazine and there are a few new to DVD titles available.
Will Hay and My Learned Friend
Alistair Sim - The Happiest Days of your Life
Plus quite a few offersthat might be worth a look.
Their website is Simply Home Entertainment – A great choice of DVDs and videos

I don't know if they are the cheapest but would be worth checking out

Just ordered John Betjeman x 2 dvd's at hal price and also the warden says both volumes again half price, but had to ring as the offer price didn't come up on the website which they are checking, so please be aware.
Will also check MovieMail
Cheers

Thanks mallee for posting that, you've saved me a few bob. H.E charged me £7.49 for my video whereas Moviemail were going to charge me £14.99. You're a top man.

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

I ordered today online - I'll post here again when it arrives (bearing in mind there's a bank holiday coming up).

I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

Well they did inform me that I may be waiting for the DVD's I ordered and were very helpful, but thats not a problem as I made a saving of about £30, they were very quick to point this out too to save me any hassle!
Will post again when I receive my order.
Incidentally I did get the free Alistair Sim Scrooge on offer at Xmas, was waiting a while but it did turn up and they kept me informed, was a huge demand for it.

Just received an email from them saying it's in transit. I ordered Thursday and got their email today (Tues) and as I said bear in mind there's a B/H in between. If anyones interested I'll post again when it arrives.

A fantastic compilation...all complete from 35mm originals....If only they would do the same with selected Pathe Pictorials...pure nostalgia!

I payed £14: 99 when it first came out.

'Look at Life' is a great piece of nostalgia. I had to wait a couple of weeks for mine but the price made it more bearable!

'London's Pride' is also worth checking out: Play.com (UK) : London's Pride: Hidden Archive Of London Transport : DVD - Free Delivery

London's Pride is a good DVD, as are the British Transport Collection (9 Editions)....However they 'ain't like' the original Technicolor Prints of Pathe Pictorial...featuring This Colourful World. What happened to them all? Don't the distributors realise they are sitting on a gold mine?

Postman brought a parcel this morning and it was my complete order, great service.
I ordered 2 special offers:
the warden says 1 and 2 which is bill pertwee and the ww2 info films (2 lots as 1 is for father in laws birthday this month)
and john betjeman summoned by bells and passion for churches(set in norfolk Bats)
all 6 for 31.94 inc
the warden ones are around 15 each
great service and massive savings
hope they keep it up

Hooray!!! It arrived today (Friday) 8 days after ordering online (bear in mind the B/H in between). £7.49 is a bargain - elsewhere it's being charged at £14 plus
