My existing Prisoner set has out-of-order episodes, and I've never discovered the Why's and Why-Not's. I know there are differences in the Production Sequence and a Broadcast Sequence, but the DVDs offer an even different layout. Anyone know why?

Talking

I don't think it really matters which order you watch them
It's been often analysed, but I don't think it will
ever make complete sense.

Copious quantities of Alcohol and Hallucinogenic substances
must have been used during the writing of this series...

Ah yes, the "it makes no difference" argument. Heard that argued well before, and usually with your additional advice, too!

Order! Order! Order!...... Bailiff! Throw them out!....

95% of the Internet is Porn, 4% is people wittering on about the order of episodes in the Prisoner.... which leaves 1% for the rest of us.

I always think a TV Show should be watched in the order of broadcast. Like a film shouldn't have its scenes shuffled around, twenty years later.....

But of course "Directors Cuts" are now endemic, so watch it in any order you like. I often read the last page of a book first, so who am I to criticise...

But I do take exception to the requirement of alcohol and hallu....hal...Drugs. Whatever happened to free thinking and imagination?

I snapped this one up. Beautifully packaged, and with a few nice extras on a bonus disc.

Also snapped up the 9-disc Powell and Pressburger set for the same price. What a bargain.

Default Does someone have a spare petard for hoisting upon?

I heard that there's a Canadian effort to remake THE PRISONER. No, please. Please no.

Can we get a few petards to hoist those so-called filmmakers upon? Maybe a few guillotines are rusting and could use some lubricating? Any chance those decision-makers could be field-tested as artillery targets? I mean, surely with minds like that, no one could call their terminations as anything more than vegetable harvesting.

Where's a forest fire when you need it?!!
