Thanks for that DB7 - what a bargain, and a few of the titles have a Norman Wisdom commentary.

I watched On the Beat last night, with the commentary - a big disappointment. Unfortunately the film historian who sat with Norman to "conduct" the commentary had no idea how to interview or get the best out of his subject. It was embarrassing and amateurish. He failed to ilicit any insight from Norman and tried too hard with inconsequential questions that could only be answered with an "I don't know" or "yes".

Norman was charming as always but deserved better.

It is a pity that so many British movie DVD releases are poorly produced and the 'Extra"content compiled by amateurs. "Seance on a Wet Afternoon" had an interview with Bryan Forbes but was shot on a cheap camera, out of focus and was shodily edited. "A Home of your Own" had a long interview conducted without lights, nor cameraman on sub-student kit. As someone that interviews and shoots for my livelihood I think they are real opportunities missed.
