It's the same for everyone. That's why online shopping is cheaper, fewer overheads than shops and greater ordering power. Shops can't afford to sell that cheap because of their overheads and if everyone paid by cheque or whatever for their online goods the whole system would grind to a halt.

name='MovieLover12']But the shops are more expensive, plus you have to pay tax on goods.

And I've heard numerous people on here slating them for rip offs and too high priced goods.

So, back to the 'net then?

I've never had a problem with using my card, and I've never been ripped off by any of the commercial sites

It's always worth checking the Edinburgh Woolen mill shop when you're in a strange town, as they always keep a stock of classic films on DVD.

I got last week Rasputin the Mad Monk for £3.99, and would have got King Kong Escapes for the same price, but I'd just got a lovely widescreen copy from Sky Classics.

I've cancelled the remaining Razamataz order and closed the books on them.

They went out of business before, possibly due to their order and dispatch problems. If they go again I will be waving my little flag.

name='batman']I have shopped online for years and have never ever had a problem with my card details being seen by anyone I didn't want to see them. You have to make a choice, card details in cyberspace or high street prices.

your just as likely to be the victim of card based fraud in the high st ,any shop assistant could clone your card ,as has been happening in petrol stations a lot .organised crime has its testicles everywhere

Did you, by any chance, mean tentacles?

Actually, once you bring the 'human' element into processing your card details, there's probably MORE chance of fraud.

whoops ! yes i meant tentacles . your right about the human side of it ,organised crime target disgruntled shop assistants ,entice them to note card details with a cut of the proceeds .thats been happening a lot in petrol stations .cant think why because working for the big oil firms like i once did is a marvelous job ,in no way could you call them modern day slavedrivers with a scrooge like attitude to the wellbeing of their staff

Changing the subject slightly for a moment, you might like to hear what happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago.

I have a friend who has a villa in Spain.

He was out there on holiday and got up one morning to find that he'd been broken into.

At first, he couldn't find his laptop and wallet - he found the wallet out in the garden, apparently just dropped untouched. He, obviously, called the police but thought that only his laptop had actually been stolen.

When he got back home to Wales, he discovered that several thousands of pounds had gone from his bank account, the deposit cheque for his new house had bounced and all of his Direct Debits had been cancelled due to lack of funds.

The thieves had used one of those manual sliding credit card machines to 'clone' his cards!

So, if you have any suspicions at all that your wallet/purse has been 'interfered' with, even if your cards are still in there, STOP THEM IMMEDIATELY and get new ones.

It could save you a small fortune.
