I remember seeing "Summer Holiday" at an open air cinema on a warm night on the Greek island of Paros in the mid seventies! I was a teenager at the time and was having a romantic date with a loveley girl I had met during the bus trip across Europe (bus from London Victoria to Athens was approx £30 return! not a double decker though!) It was an apt film to see and the atmosphere in the amphitheatre was tremendous, though that could have been a lot to do with my loved up brain fever! One of the great things about cinema for me is that the circumstances under which you see a film can often mould your attatchment and fondness for a particular movie,I always enjoy watching "Summer Holiday" for that reason, its a feel good fun film, made by Cliff while he still had street cred!.......
