Also available in HMV (but in smaller quantities) is the Studio Canal box set of early Hitchock classics. This is selling for £30, not sure of the original list price, and includes silents (The ring; Champagne; The manxman etc) and early sound films (Blackmail; Murder; Number seventeen etc). Nine films in total I think.
Lovely quality (especially the silents) and recommended.

Bought mine last week for £15 in store. Not a great Hitchcock fan in the past but that could all change now. Sat down to watch Stage Fright last night and was delighted to see Alistair Sim in a major roll. Also thought the 20 seconds of Joyce Grenfell was worth the whole price of the box set. Seems this Hitchcock chap is well worth investigating!
