got it for Xmas from my brother.



I remember the series from the first time round in the seventies ( scared me almost to death ! ) , i just been watching the episode "Kiss me and Die" starring Jennifer Agutter , where the flavour is Egar Allan Poe ,

walling up unfortunates behind a wall in the cellar etc , i had forgotton all

about it , came flooding back



there are a few turkey episodes , but



well worth a view again and now down in price !

These original BBC series are much better than the hammer films that came later.

(although i enjoyed them as well )



only downside is only 2 episodes of the original 6 still exist in the Quatermass

this bargin find ( Doctor who and the invasion of earth ) £ 6.99 !!! ( 2 DVD SET ) lots of extras !! interviews , locations , and some great stills )

and the tip is when when watching this is select the New BBC CGI at the start of the DVD , this brushes up several major scenes during the episodes.





( example , when the Dalek ship is flying past Battersea Power station looks great , if you watch it with CGI off , you can tell its a model bouncing along on strings , with the London

skyline behind it , plus the kids will poke fun at you )

It's worth keeping your eye on ebay for this one, I had it brand new & sealed for about £25 plus delivery (2.99) last year & seen it a few times since for a little bit more.
