Yet again I've found an old thread that contains missing posts. I don't understand why some of the above are there and others not. By clicking the Reply or Multiquote buttons, it is possible to read these 'blank' messages and so I'm reproducing messages 1, 3, 4, 5 and 7 for you. As intended:#1

Fantastic news. Many thanks, Captain, for bringing this boxset to my attention. Particularly looking forward to
Written On The Wind, which I
still haven't seen. A real bargain at £13.98 (Amazon's price). Maybe
The Ingmar Collection will be available at a reasonable price one day (less than £100)?

I meant the 30 DISC collection, which was selling for £200 (now unavailable).

Yes, having read the Customer Reviews, it's disappointing to discover there are cropped versions of a few of the films. You get what you pay for I guess. That's why the Joseph Losey boxset is more than twice as much (£35.98). At least Amazon's reviewers alerted us to this inferior collection before we 'forked out'.
Following John Hodson's recommendation, I bought the Douglas Sirk boxset (currently £15.93) and especially enjoyed seeing this one again:

I revisted this thread because my Photobucket album for American Films includes this unused capture. I probably intended to post it here and forgot:

Jane Wyman and Virginia Grey
Obviously an ATW from my screencapping session for 'Books in Films', where I first posted this image of Jane reading Henry David Thoreau's Walden:

This was first seen at the beginning of the year at the 'Uncredited actors' thread and shows a young David Janssen with 'girlfriend' Gloria Talbott:

Gloria says: "No, not romantic nonsense. I mean basic love. The desire to be liked."
Reminds me of Katharine Hepburn's line in
The Philadelphia Story/Grace Kelly's in
High Society: "I don't want to be worshipped. I want to be loved"
