We're expecting it in the south-east in a few hours, brrrrr!, though Snow looks lovely when it's freshly lain, I've just seen the News and it's deep and crisp and even in the City of Lichfield, glad I'm not working tomorrow.

Out in a large town today and was saddened to see the 'Past times' chain of stores has gone into administration, having a clear-out of remaining stock, used to like their little knick-knacks and nostalgia books.

Yes a great shame about Past Times they also used to do some lovely history themed ties.

oo-err, it'll be at the Thames Estuary very soon no doubt, coming back from a local supermarket just saw a group of young girls walking along a street going for a night out, no coats on, bare arms, short skirts, what's the matter with some of todays youngsters, do they want to catch hypothermia?

I used to love their stuff years ago, but in recent years they have been a bit down market IMO.

I agree. I used to do a lot of my Christmas shopping there but in the last few years I've checked them out but haven't bought anything

But I suppose a "... World" place probably isn't as bad as those "... Experience" places. They really do look dire

Well yes, I must admit, the only thing that put me off wanting to go there was the thought of students dressed as toothless prostitutes, and annoying Stage school waifs jumping out at me

No, it's not true, checked the website and they're still selling tickets for an annual admission, it's just a ride that's shut down for a couple of days at the end of the month.

Lol, no it's not quite like that, the little stageplays that are put on appear very professional, the children enjoy playing at being little raggamuffins, everyone is very dedicated to what they do, it's all very enjoyable.

Dickens world and the Great war exhibition at the Imperial war museum are at least two good reasons for coming down south Michelle, look forward to when you do.

Dickens World - Jongleurs, Theatre of Light School, Sail the River Medway, Circus of Light and Maritime Jazz Festival.

Thanks mate. It's actually been the worst Summer weatherwise since I've been here. Cold & wet (today being a welcome change) for weeks.

More rain to come this week. One of my mates flew to Moscow last week on a work assignment. The subzero temperature must be a real shock to his system!!

You're welcome Michelle, a lot of tourists are intrigued by Dickens and his world, they can't close it down!, you'll enjoy Rochester high street, olde worlde, they're proud of their famous son
