Watching Inspector Clouseau (1968), which is not a good film, but has plenty of familiar faces lurking in the background:
At the Highland Fair, Frank Finlay appears to be lost in thought while watching wife Beryl Reid's antics, while I think John Junkin looks on. Is that perhaps Anthony Lang at far left? unknowns2.jpg
While Tutte Lemkow prepares to knife either Clouseau or his agent, a familiar face in a ugly jumper looks on. I have seen him many times, but cannot remember his name. Anyone know?

Thanks--I had thought quite possibly perhaps, but wasn't sure enough to say so. Looking back at that scene I am fairly sure it is them, especially given how many of the other "usual suspects" are present.

I am now reminded from my notes that Vic Chapman popped up again later in the film as a waiter on the train. Other "usual suspects" who are in this film include Gerry Judge, Jack Arrow, Mickey Varey and Maxwell Craig.

Touch and Go (1955) is a lightweight Ealing comedy with Jack Hawkins, but no touch and go as to the following being in the cast list . . . they just weren't!


While Jack does his best to persuade his boss Mr. M. B. Kimball (James Hayter) of the wisdom in adopting his modern furniture designs, as seated Basil Dignam ponders, Carruthers and G. S. Bell - Lockwood West and Noel Coleman - dither


His designs rejected, but his resignation accepted, Jack storms back to his office and narrowly misses two workmen, the one in the middle being George Spence.

Sea of Sand (1958) features lots of soldiers, sweat and, er, sand, and also:

Joe Wadham as a puzzled squaddie. Presumably Joe was on hand as there is a fair bit of tricky driving to be done in this film. Dickie driving too in this film and indeed, that's Bunter's bum on the left.
