So what are the chances of England actually winning against the much superior USA powerhouse on Saturday?

    Nil to None maybe?

With superior speed and defense, it most likely will take only one score from USA to seal the victory!

While England is stuck placing all it's hopes on the over-rated Rooney and Lampard!

I'm sure Rooney will find a way to get red-carded early, to avoid the blame falling on him!!

Bottom line USA 4 England 0

As the US Team gives England a break after going up with an early 3-0 lead!

All the Brits can root for USA in the title game when USA takes on Spain in the moost anticipated finals in World Cup history!

Didn't England go out to the USA in only the first round sometime in the 1970's?

    Or was that cricket?

    England lost 1-0 to USA at the 1950 World Cup. However tomorrow I'm going for;

    USA 0 England 2

Yeah, I'm surprised the USA team is that good. Soccer is not that big a deal in the States (though its apparently growing in popularity).

Isn't womens football/soccer the most played team sport in the US? I'm sure I heard

    that somewhere.

A draw wouldn't surprise me. England are very unpredictable.

    the over-rated Rooney

I think that single comment demonstrates how seriously we should take your views on football.

Why doesn't Australia have a team?

Still focused on Autralian rules Football I guess, uh? Although I like it better than 'Futbol'!

I've been watching the NBA finals also and it really sucks!

I hate it when the offciating can affect the outcome of a game so much as it does in the NBA.

The officials can't keep with the skill of the players today!

I think they have won the Womens World Cup most times it's been played. The Yank goal-scorer one time brightened up the final by pulling her shirt off like the men do......

I wonder if she got booked.... or just bookings........

You can tell how much insight I have!

Obviously Rooney is a pretty good player, when he shows up.

But as the great Yogi Bera said if don't get up to bat you can't hit the ball.

He's too much of a 'loose cannon', I'd take Lampard or Lennon over Rooney, at least they can control their temper!

You know the refs will be targeting him and you can't honestly believe he'll make through the tournament without a red card or two!

    Big Stage, Big Emotions!!

Isn't that the team owned by Russell Crowe?

I actually thought that was kids underwear!

I expect the USA to win 1-0 and 'shock' the world then finish top resulting in a germany v england 1st round knockout and a penalty shoot out with an ex-premiership flop scoring the winner!

I thought England's last world cup squad of four years ago was the best so far, I thought they were robbed of going further in 2006. Im not so sure about this squad, they looked weak and shaky in the friendly against Japan, I'd quite like England to give the USA good hammering though, I might be one of the few Scottish people who would like to see England do well in this world cup!....well having lived in London for more than 25 years I think we could do with something to celebrate here, though I somehow feel they don't have the edge or promise they were showing 4 years ago....lets see, I'll be watching in my local pub in Shepherd Market, I will of course annoy and tease my English friends by cheering for the USA every now and again

That's because I am the insight fairy!

Sure, Rooney is a loose cannon, but he is far from over-rated. As a Chelski fan, I will obviously agree that Lumplard is a great player, but he can't do what Rooney does and vice versa .... Lennon? Now he is over-rated.

Is that why Russell made State of Play?

I hope that kids underwear doesn't get filled with 'soccerpoos'! (I'll get m'coat) ...

The USA beat Spain (aka The Best Team In The World!) 2-0 last year in the Confederations Cup in South Africa, so it wouldn't be a massive shock if they beat England. I don't think they will though...
