I think it might be Room Service. But I don't think he was tied. But it's not in the kitchen so never mind.
A thousand apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but this question has been bugging me for a while.
I was a HUGE fan of the Marx Brothers when I was a little girl and I've just re-discovered them again. I could have sworn there was a movie which had a scene where Harpo was tied to a chair in a kitchen. Bacon was frying, coffee was perculating and all you could hear was the sound of Harpo's stomach violently growling while he was being tortured by this culinary delight. Is this actually in one of their movies, or do I have some false memory thing going on? I thought it was Go West, but I'm obviously wrong about that.

No it was Love Happy.
Really? I'm quite surprised at both suggestions because I thought it was a more obscure film from their catalogue. I remember Harpo in cowboy gear for some reason (hence me thinking it was Go West). However, in the interest of research, I may have to force myself to watch both again. (Dammit!)
Thanks for the help!![]()
I was thinking Room Service because all the brothers were hungry and he chases that turkey. But he doesn't get tied up and they never get out of the room. Love Happy might be it because I think Harpo is caught by bad guys. Those two movies are relatively obscure MM movies. They didn't make a bunch.
There's a scene in "Horse Feathers" where Harpo and Chico are tied to a chair.

In a kitchen? I don't remember Chico being there, but I do remember a big pot of coffee and a frypan cooking away on a stove while Harpo's stomach made loud pleading noises.
I can see I'm going to have to watch them all!![]()
