I went for a day out in London yesterday (not on my own) and went around The Tower Of London, very interesting there was so much to see and read, it took several hours to go all around The Tower Of London but it was well worth it i have always been fascinated by history and London has always been my favourite city, i went on the London Underground with my two companions only two stops from Liverpool St to Tower Hill, i have always liked the London Underground, after leaving The Tower Of London i went with my two companions for a walk across Tower Bridge (my favourite Bridge) and the Bridge raised to let a ship pass through, i have been wondering for a while how many films and TV Programmes Tower Bridge has featured in and yesterday's trip has inspired me to start this Thread, i looked on imdb and found a lot of titles featuring Tower Bridge far too many for me to write out here but i have attached the imdb links below, i have thought of a few more titles featuring Tower Bridge - episodes of The Bill, the Sherlock Holmes story The Sign Of Four (several versions), Ruth Rendell's Inspector Wexford (can't remember the title of the story), i am sure Brit Movie Members can think of many more films and TV Programmes featuring Tower Bridge.

any adaptation of 'the sign of four' is inaccurate if it has a completed 'tower bridge' in the backround as it was only completed and opened four years after the release of the novel(unless conan doyle meant TSOF to be 'sci fi'?)

going by your underground starting point it sounds as though you've been on a 'ripper' visit? i'm sure that there is a ripper film that also incorrectly has 'tower bridge' in the background? (unless i'm thinking of 'time after time'?)

Circus of Fear (1966) by John Llewellyn Moxey, has a really cracking opening sequence on Tower Bridge.

Peter Cushing has his residence in Tower Bridge in Biggles (1985) and there are quite a few scenes on and around the bridge in that film.

The latest Sweeney Todd features Tower Bridge in its opening moments, but although the timeframe is not clearly stated in the film, I think it's set quite some time before the bridge was actually built.

There was also a 1959 British film entitled The Boy and The Bridge, about a little boy who ran away from home and hid out inside Tower Bridge. Filmed on location with plenty of shots of the bridge.

I love Tower Bridge as well Billy, I watched an opening on the bridge last summer to let a tall yacht through, in the opening scenes of the film 'To Sir with love' an AEC Regent bus is about to cross the bridge, Rita Webb has just boarded it, sits down and says "corr, my bleedin' feet", then Marianne Stone turns round to say hello.
