    Thanks, it's a nice site. I recently noticed there's a book out detailing a young actor/writer's friendship with him in his final years.

    Trottie True is such a "flamboyant" film that I'm not surprised the director was gay!

    Theo, I was so intrigued after reading the rave reviews on Amazon that I ordered a copy, for just £1.34. I just hope that Jean is mentioned.

    Thanks for that link DB7 Shame we never actually got to hear any of Brian's scandalous stories as they would have livened up that fairly dull documentary, still of interest to me as I really knew nothing about him and he directed some terrific films (Scrooge, Malta Story etc).

    Anyone notice that at one point they seemed to be watching His and Hers (1961) a Terry-Thomas film many of us are seeking, so at least there is a copy out there somewhere.
