Not the best film I have seen but I do like to put a name to them all. Alec Guineas I think who, by means I have forgotten, has residence in a house and paints a huge tiger on a wall. What was it entitled so I can check the story now it is in my mind?

It sounds as though it ought to be The Horse's Mouth.

    Nick's right.

Here's Gulley Jimson painting that tiger:

That is the one. Did Gulley Jimson live on a riverboat moored on the Thames or am I confusing this with another film? The answer to that will finally resolve a discussion we were having about a film we could not remember.

The word houseboat does come up as a plot keyword.

Yes he definitely has a houseboat. It's a good film but I wish someone would adapt the whole trilogy in which he is a far less likeable character.

Yes that's right, he lives on a houseboat in the film, at the end he sets sail in it up the Thames towards Tower Bridge, the film was directed by Ronald Neame, I remember the music being good, it was by Prokofiev,
