Came across this earlier on BBC1, and it raised a few questions with me:

    1. What's new?
    2. Why this on a Friday night or any night for that matter as it's hardly for adults?
    3. What's the bl**dy point of this programme other than the presenter showing some macho behaviour as this is hardly educational?!

Most important question for me though:

Why o why keep making such programmes at the expense of the peace and quiet of the very animals?!

Been there, done that..........with Steve Irwin. He had it coming.

This kind of interference with animal habitat has always annoyed me. Steve Backshall earlier tonight, while being attacked by a deadly scorpion, "My heart is in my throat!"

    Consider yourself lucky, mate.

My thoughts exactly ......Ive been saying to Friends and Family for quite a while.......

why dont they Just P*** off home and leave those Animals to do what they do in their Natural habitat.

Take a Leaf from David Attenborough's book' the best wildlife Documentaries ever made...........

along with Götz Dieter Plage..........Seen here filming Adrian de shriver Introducing an orphan Gorilla to a new Family

I have no idea why this CBBC show has appeared on BBC1, but Deadly 60 is a huge favourite in The Bat Cave, as is its 'live' companion show Live 'n' Deadly. Steve Backshall is IMHO a brilliant presenter on this show, he is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining and he certainly gets the kids interested in wildlife and the environment. You can't compare him to David Attenborough (also a big favourite with us) because he is a different animal (bad pun intended) and his show is aimed at a different audience. With so many crap presenters inhabiting kids TV it's refreshing to see a man who is enthusiastic, doesn't patronise his audience and is totally professional. We saw him live last year when Live 'n' Deadly came to our city, he was first class.

It came across to me as a fairly standard "Best Of" sort of show that Channel 5 and many of the Dave channels seem to specialise in. I wondered why the BBC was indulging in such a prosaic show. I can see that kids would like it though and it seemed to operate on that level.

What this says about the "best of" format goes without saying..... except I just have...
