    Hi,
UNCHAINED MELODY. It appears in the films UNCHAINED and later GHOST.

In the opening dialogue free sequence where Dean Martin goes into the bar and Claude Akins throws the coin into the spitoon the piece of music playing is Blowing Wild(The Ballad Of Black Gold) Tiomkin's theme for the film of the same name starring Gary Cooper.A vocal version by Frankie Laine appears on most of his greatest hits compilations.

    Hi,
The theme music to LAWRENCE OF ARABIA is used, admittedly tongue in cheek, in a James Bond film.

The tune to LOVE ME TENDER was also an established song years before Elvis sang it. I have heard it being sung, with different lyrics, in what I think was a 1940's film. Might have been about a pearl and featured a Mexican actor Pedro Arman...cant spell it. But I could be wrong.

Talking of Elvis, his song CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE is an old French romantic song with different lyrics. (No I am not an old French romantic)

Talking of Elvis reminds me of Bill Haley. The song ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK, composed as a foxtrot; by Knight and Freeman, has two versions being played in the film BLACKBOARD JUNGLE. One by Bill Haley and the Comets, and the other, as an instrumental, by a big band.

A lot of people don't know that.

    Alan French.

Love Me Tender is based on the tune Aura Lee(or Lea) which was a popular song with both Union and Confederate armies during the Civil War.

some of Trevor Jones's music for the film Excalibur (1981) was recycled in his score for The Last Place On Earth (1985)

Jerry Goldsmith's score for Capricorn One is used again in Total Recall (1990) in fact Jerry uses a lot of his music in other movies.

Caught the closing scene of a western "Apache Territory" on BBC2 Saturday afternoon and the music over the end titles was the theme from "3.10 To Yuma"

These are both Columbia pictures with George Duning involved in the soundtrack.

One of my favourites over end titles (in the 1940s) was a jaunty piece of music usually most inappropriately played after sombre endings to Universal's horror or Sherlock Holmes films. It appears it was originally written by Frank Skinner for a film called Strange Faces in 1938.

Maybe not the same as the other posters above but came across this little oddity of music used in this Bruce Lee exploitation film/documentary.

Fist of Fear, Touch of Death from 1980,here is a short clip and listen out @ 00.27 seconds (although it may give it away a lot sooner than that)

And if you are not sure what it is,well it is in fact this......
