Looking forward to it, yet at the same time kind of dreading it .......... simply because I absolutely love 'Alien' (buy the Blu-ray, it's superb!) and am bound to be making comparisons.

Still, we'll see in a few months. :)

But did they spend all the money on the trailer and put all the best special effects into it?

"The Good Wife" opening credits segue straight into the ad-breaks every week. I wonder if that's what used to happen in the USA after each prologue of Danger Man was complete; I wouldn't be surprised if that's a big reason why the show was structured the way it was by Ralph Smart.

Any elderly Americans on this Thread??....... with good memory....

12 and a half hours and I'll be sat in VIP seats munching popcorn and sipping Coke while Ridley blows my mind all over again.

Do you get the impression I can't wait? If there are seats avialable for the second showing I'll be straight back in to watch it again.

I'm going tonight but have never seen Alien all the way through. Should I watch it first?

Considering that 'Prometheus' is a prequel, I wouldn't think so.

Amazing movie! Couldn't get in for the second showing so I'm going again Sunday.

Prometheus is actually the prequel to the prequel to Alien so it's as good a place to start as any Windy

The locations are stunning, the futuretech is incredible and the atmosphere is pure Ridley. Highly recommended to all Sci Fi fans.

Charlise Theron is well fit too.

Charlize, who’s also been busy promoting Snow White and the Huntsman, will start filming Mad Max: Fury Road in Namibia this summer.

“I’m very excited about it. I think that just like Prometheus that it’s an interesting world,” she recently told reporters.
“I feel like the original Mad Max created such a vivid world, that to go back and re-imagine it and kind of replay in that sandbox sounds like fun to me,” Charlize added.

I have deliberately avoided watching anything to do with the premise of this film, and wait to see it this morning at 10.30am (groan) at the IMAX with the wife (Also groaning at me, even more I suspect once we begin the journey into rainy London)

Is this a British film? Shot in the UK, British Director, largely a UK cast, so I guess it qualifies, even though it has the big American bucks behind it. Will it rank as one of Scotts finest? I sure hope so. I met him in Covenant Garden when we were on the way to the theatre to see a play that turned out to be god awful and he told me how much he disliked theatre, on that ocasion he was certainly right. Really nice man, shame he wouldn't let me have my picture taken with him though.
