Just got the e-mail - my two most wanted titles in one go. Well done Network!
Just noticed on the Network website that these two shows will be coming soon.
Stunning news. One happy chappie here. Can finally consign those dodgy looking copies to the bin .

This is the best news I've heard in ages. I never thought I'd see the day when the Edgar Wallace Mysteries would get a proper release. The long wait is finally over. I hope that Network will also be able to release the Scotland Yard/Scales of Justice series too. Great news too about The Human Jungle, another neglected TV series finally given a proper release.
Always wondered who would release The Edgar Wallace mysteries. Never thought of Network, good to know they're in safe hands.
Yes indeed - excellent news. I can finally pass my old EWM DVDs on to my dad!
Just saw the email as well. Fantastic news! Been waiting for both.
Are they releasing 45 Edgar Wallace films in one package (could be very expensive!) or a few at a time ? (would probably sell better...)
If Network are smart, they will also prepare German sub-titles forr the films, as EW is big in Germany !
Excellent news on both counts! It will be so good seeing these series in decent quality for the first time in many years.
You're lucky. However hard I try I can't get past the first page of their site. I hope their new site is more accessible!!
By the way, in view of my problem with their site could anyone help me with their telephone number.
I'd not heard of NetworkDVD until I joined this forum but have to say, its a great source of disks.
Some features of Network DVDs
- they do not supply their DVDs to rental companies, so you have to buy
them !
-their DVD copy protection software is very tight
- they take trouble to source the best quality prints (The World of Gurney Slade is a good example)
- quality does not come cheap, so they can be a bit expensive !
excellent, I have been waiting form some good copies of these, I have always enjoyed them, right from when they played in the cinemas as a supporting programme
I wonder what else might come of this new network deal? If they have access to the Canal+ library in the UK, hopefully some more Elstree produced films may come to be released. Fingers crossed...

I've spent far more than usual over the festive period so I'm on notice...no more disks for a couple of months. My children are as bad as me and in fact if my daughter spots something in my collection she fancies she won't borrow it, she'll just buy her own copy so as a family we do our bit to help finance the film industry.
