the avengers-robert hardy,boris karloff?

Hi people, and Gerald.
just watched first episode of "the viel" introduced by Boris Karloff.
was pleasantly surprised to see patrick mcnee and also robert hardy.
patrick playing the part of a bright constable - out doing Karloffs seargent!
it occured to me that as quite a prolific tv actor,i cannot remember robert hardy in any eps of the avengers ?
would this be the only time he and patrick worked together ?and wondered if they had fond memmories of Karloff ?
incidently am a bit miffed that Karloff's "thriller" is available now only on region one !

its peculiar that robert hardy wasnt in any series of the avengers then ?
both he,and patrick mcnee come accross in "the viel" as very good actors.
i belive Karloff died in 1969, a pity he wasnt in an avengers episode like his modern day counterparts ( cushing and Lee )? and ,similarly to peter cushing,Karloff was a joy to work with?
