    King of the Teds (2012)

This one seems to have sneaked in under the radar despite the cast list of Tom Jones, Alison Steadman & Brenda Blethyn. Did anyone catch it on Sky Arts 1?
    Telegraph Review

A very nice piece of work, especially from the two ladies, but Sir Tom supported them well

Alison Steadman and Brenda Blethyn are always worth watching.

Great title, great cast. I've got to see this. But would a factory worker be able to afford to have that much ... work done?

Some people are born that way and don't need any ... work done

Sir Tom claims to have only his eyelids done

I noticed this has been heralded as Tom's first real acting roll apart from Mars Attacks - there seems to a collective amnesia about his TV movie sequel to Fantasy Island. He played a resort detective who happened to keep breaking into song and making his medallions clank.

If Sir Tom says so, then I believe him.

I thought it was by far the best of the four plays shown so far and Sir Tom was pretty good alongside his more experienced co-stars. Lovely stuff.

Have you watched the others Steve?

No, it was mainly Alison & Belinda that attracted me to this one. I always like their work & it was great to see them together. Tom was a bonus

Interesting list of credits with Stephen Fry & Sandi Toksvig as executive producers
