I'm currently editing a book about films set in or shot in Liverpool and am trying to get hold of a couple of films on DVD:

The Dressmaker (1988 Billie Whitelaw, Joan Plowright)
The Arrest of Goudie (Early Mitchell and Kenyon film)

If anyone can help with either of these I'd appreciate it.

    Cheers,

    Jez

Thanks Steve - I have a long list that I'm working from (I need to cap it at 46 to fit the book format) and have most of the films at my disposal now but these two are alluding me. I think the Mitchell & Kenyon one will be tricky - there's a viewing copy a the BFI but I need to get screen captures and I don't think that will be possible - but I'm hoping someone has a copy of The Dressmaker.

    Best wishes,

    Jez

I remember them showing that film on the beeb when they discovered the collection and it might be on the Mitchell and Kenyon video of the series.

The film is actually covered in considerable detail in the 'Saints and Sinners' episode of 'The Lost World of Mitchell & Kenyon' which is of course available on DVD - so problem solved!
