I don't think i have ever seen Lime Street, but there are a few clips of the series on YouTube.
In the Daily Mirror today, someone asked about a short lived television series of 1985 called Lime Street, which starred Robert Wagner,Patrick Macnee and Lew Ayres. Set and filmed in Merseyside, the programme was short lived due to the untimely death of one of its stars,Samantha Smith, who was involved in air crash.
A bit of a curio,an American television series (Columbia Television),made in Liverpool. Does anyone have any memories of it?

Here's the opening
It seems it was Lime Street in London and not Liverpool, you can see that from the video. Lime Street in Liverpool is a Railway station with St George's Hall opposite. Cannot even see it being used for location filming for the series.
Thanks! I am just going by the information I read!

Samantha Smith the girl who went to the Soviet Union was a great loss to the world. She'd probably be Madame Senator by now... or Madame President.
Looking at the reply in yesterday's Daily Mirror,it was from a guy in Merseyside and he says,"Although it was filmed on location in Liverpool,it was never broadcast in the UK." However, judging by the clips shown above,it looks like he might have been hoping it was filmed in his beloved area.
