Charlotte Mitchell R.I.P.

I was sorry to read of the death of actress Charlotte Mitchell at 85, one of whose many roles was as the housekeeper in The Adventures of Black Beauty. She was also the mother of actors Dominic and Christopher Guard.

Very sorry to read this, I was only watching a film last week with her in it, an early role for her in "Laughter In Paradise". Especially remember her in Black Beauty. R.I.P.

Sad news, but a good life. Funnily enough I was only watching her this weekend, being a stooge to Kenneth Connor in 'Nearly A Nasty Accident'...

Very sad news. I remember Charlotte best - and very affectionately - from NOT IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN, as the extremely understanding Mary. Such a pleasant actress and I had no idea she was Dominic and Christopher Guard's mum. My deepest sympathies to them and the rest of Charlotte's family and to her friends.
