    Hi chaps.
inside the "restaurant, bar and grill" in Leeds is a hugue poster/still of
laurence harvey walking on set with a big house in the background.
no one seems to know which film it was taken from .
i bought "night watch", but the house in that is central london. this picture looks like a rural setting.
cant even find the picture on google !
    any ideas ?
    thanks
    H

"Spy With a Cold Nose" (dir. Daniel Petrie, 1967) had filming exteriors at the (famous) Castle Howard in Yorkshire. Could this be a Leeds connection?

However Laurence Harvey did a number of country house appearances including Darling. Both Room at the Top and Life at the Top were filmed in Yorkshire, (Bradford) but maybe this is a red herring?

i dont think so, castle howard ( which i was named after !)its a palacial residence. the one in the photo is
more of a country mansion.he is pictured walking accross a lawn ,with film crew in the background.

Could it be the Brown's home in Room at The Top if I recall it is a Victorian mill owners home large and in its own grounds.

    Ramada Hotel, Bingley
Bankfield was built in 1848 and was formerly the residence of Wm. Murgatroyd Esq., Mayor of Bradford in 1854. It then became the property of Henry Mason, Esq., being enlarged in 1871. This gothic mansion is now the central part of the Bingley Ramada Hotel.

This is how the house would have looked in the 50's.
