If you go online, sleeping dragon, there is plenty of evidence of a number of the Wexfords being available on DVD in recent years, but some of the references are 5 years old so may be out of date. However, you should know (you may already know) that 3 Wexford titles are not only not available on DVD they have not been repeated on television. When I challenged the satellite station which was reshowing the Wexfords ( Gold?, ITV 3?), they told me that the company which owned the rights had forbidden their transmission. No reason given or known.

The 3 "missing" titles are Wolf to the Slaughter (1989), No More Dying Then (1989), Put on by Cunning (1990).If you have these titles on video have them transferred to DVD!

I'm sure I've seen those three titles repeated fairly recently - maybe in the last five years - and on a Freeview channel so probably ITV3 rather than Gold. I wonder if the channel where you saw them has lost its rights to show those episodes, with the implication that they are still available to be shown providing a broadcaster pays to buy rights for a few more years.

I can't imagine that TVS or Blue Heaven (or some such name - the maker, anyway) would refuse to let them be shown or released on DVD, unless there's some copyright issue.

The original five seasons of Wexford were made by TVS and I believe the rights were then bought by the series' producer when that company was sold off - he need's to set up a deal with a distributor to get it released/repeated; it may be that ITV3's repeat rights have already expired for the the serials mentioned above which is why they can't be reshown.

The episodes that are already available on DVD are the later specials and non-Wexford stories all of which were made by Meridian.
