Such sad news. A lovely man, who composed one of the most haunting melodies of the 1970s - 'The Way We Were'.
My own special favourite is the score to the very under-rated and little-shown film The Swimmer. I have a UK pressing of the LP soundtrack from all those years ago in my collection,and well treasured it is!
