Peter Jeffrey / Victor Maddern / Gerald Sim
Bats.
I remember yonks ago watching a bloopers prog and it featured Victor Maddern in an episode of Dixon.... His line was supposed to be something like 'They've taken him to Dock Green nick', but it kept coming out as 'Dick Green nock' etc. Very funny.
Rita Webb

I saw her in "Suddenly last Summer" the other night. She was one of the asylum
inmates. I also noticed Eric Chitty as one the male inmates. Both non speaking
roles!
Many actors who's faces are so well known never made it to stardom but were just as talented. The late great David Lodge for instance. A good actor and a great foil for others to bounce off of. Peter Gawthorne was another.
Kynaston Reeves

Robin Bailey.
Ann Way, a little bird-like lady who often seemed to pop up as confused, timid little old dears.
Brian Hall (the chef in Fawlty Towers). Played the 'hard man' in a few films.

Before I joined there was this thread, from the days when people were more interested in actors and actresses. A lot of good posts and great suggestions.
Here you are, Ollie. Sorry you had to wait so long (five years since that post)!name='ollie']THORLEY WALTERS (WATERS)
What a name what a voice, one of my favourites, his IMDB profile shows quite a body of work.
cheers Ollie
From the image gallery of The Man Who Haunted Himself DVD:
Pouring himself a drink between takes
Unfortunately, the gallery's designer decided to put a 'tearing' effect across what I think is a great picture. It reminds me of his role as the disgraced - and alcoholic - doctor in Thriller - A Coffin For the Bride a few years later, where he was very much 'under the thumb' of a compelling Michael Jayston. I really liked Thorley's performances in both these films.
Come on, folks We don't need to waste our time slagging off celebrities like Katie Price and Jonathan Ross, let's remember some people with REAL talent!
One of the many charms of Secret Journey is that Thorley Walters is the romantic lead, which is something of a surprise to those of us who believed he'd been born a 43 year old army officer.
On stage, Thorley was a song and dance man - you can her him sing on the London Cast recording of Ivor Novello's Gay's the Word.........He also appeared in the lost (?) film rarity Waltz Time...
