    and we can talk further
Sorry, but every time I see this it really irritates me. Why not just take the final 's' off yourself and give people your proper email address?

It's a sensible precaution to stop web spiders "harvesting" email addresses for junk mail purposes

Thanks, Rob. Yes, that's why I do it, though there are several other ways of getting round the problem of escaping the web-crawlers.

I've found that people who are nothing to do with the Britmovie.co.uk community can search on say Google and find previous postings in "Looking for a Video". If you publish your E-mail address, even in a cryptic way, you can be inundated with requests for copies of movies from people who have not registered with Britmovie and have just stumbled across the page.

What's wrong with that? Well, for one many requests seem to lack basic courtesy and manners, and for two an impression is given that those offering the the movies are in some way bootleg traders rather than collectors. Additionally, many who stumble on the website aren't collectors and by that fact have nothing to trade.

I have recently had to go through my old posts and edit out all references to my E-mail address after I received too many impolite orders (not requests) for films. I think the best way is to suggest people send a PM so at least they have to go to the trouble of registering which may filter out some of them.

Do you know you learn something almost every time you log on to this webby - I often wondered why Aphra always said "leaving of the final 's'!

AND I agree with the basic lack of courtesy as well - sometimes no 'please' or 'thank you'.

Fair enough! Now I understand it won't be an irritation any more.

    Hello all,

I hopelessly seek to see film of “Woman in dressingroom gown” directed by J. Lee Thompson, and with Anthony Quayle and Yvonne Mitchell in the principal roles.

I do not live in an anglophone country and the possibilities of seeing this film with the cinema are more than thin. This is why I seek to acquire a copy of this movie. Were some among you confronted with the same problem and succeeded in obtaining a copy of this movie?

So yes could you help me and say to me which to contact?

    I thank you by advance.

    Gwell

Actually, that raises a of question that I have been meaning to ask for sometime. The answer is probably blindingly obvious to the rest of this board, but bear in mind that you are dealing with someone who still tries to tune the radio to the Home Service..

    Ok

Can we send attachments via the board's internal email? There is probably an icon somwhere but I am blowed if I can find it.

    Many thanks

Actually, that is not a bad idea. I have a number of relatives who enjoy nothing so much as a box of quality street and a happy grizzle in front of the TV.

Can you send me an email as well Aphra.

    Many thanks
