The Peter Cushing as Doctor Who films, new DVD.

More Studio Canal re-releases from Optimum UK. This time it is the double bill of Peter Cushing as Dr. Who.

The set seems to be mostly the same as the WB set, although with a film poster and some playing cards. Most excitingly though, it promises that 'Invasion Earth' will be presented in a previously unreleased edit. What this means I am not sure since I never heard of another version of the film being available. Anyone know anything about this?

Some love them, some hate them. The Amicus Dr. Who films starring Peter Cushing. Optimum UK is re-releasing them to DVD next week, and we have a first peek at the new boxset:

Summary - looks good, but nothing to tempt an upgrade if you already have the films.
