Dave.
Don't worry. The Brits can be relied upon to maintain a stiff upper-lip.
The most sexually explicit film in the history of mainstream British cinema has been passed without any cuts for UK adult audiences by censors.
The Michael Winterbottom film '9 SONGS' features real sex scenes including fellatio, ejaculation and cunnilingus - some in close-up.
I think the release of such a film to British audiences is an utter disgrace.
I will endeavour to watch the film upon its release - for cinematic research only of course - and am sure I will hate every sordid moment.
I wonder if the film has a storyline?
Dave.

A stiff-upper what?
I had to look up some of those words in a dictionary.
I had always thought that cunnilingus was an Irish airline.

It probably is!![]()
(not in the same league as Quaint-arse though)
I've seen it 3 times and was completely disgusted not to mention bored stiff.

I expect it builds towards some kind of climax.
Anyone know what British mainstream film was the first to have:
a) completely naked human being on-screen.
b) simulated (or otherwise) fornication
![]()
Clue: It was not Hell Drivers.
Strangely enough, just read this as I'm duplicating A Cottage On Dartmoor (1929) for Barbara...there's a full-frontal early on, but as the lad is about 18 months I doubt whether this is what you had in mind for category a).......

"What the butler saw" has a young lady running around starkers. "Three men in a boat" (also from the 50s) has a nice shot of David Tomlinson's bottom as he dives into the water. Now surprise us all with the answer and tell us that the films date back to the silent era![]()
There were porn films in the silent era, but I'm struggling to think of anything full-frontal (as opposed to topless) in the mainstream in this country until the 'Naked as Nature Intended' genre of the early 60's...if indeed those are thought of as being mainstream. As for copulation...Don't Look Now caused a sensation, and that was as late as '73...
9 1/2 weeks was apparantly real sex - anyone know if thats myth or reality?

lostintown, why did you have to see it another two times?
There have been rumours about whether the sex scenes were real between Al Pacino and Ellen Barkin in Sea Of Love, and Brad Pitt and Geena Davis in Thelma & Louise![]()

As for the British release of 9 songs I have had this film for some time now, In fact i viewed it through and found it one of those really hyped up boring films. As for the Intimate sex scenes yes there are some steamy parts and you do see a bit of this and a bit of that. But i dont recall actually seeing anything in close up like Oral and so fourth. As for the press no doubt they will do there bit to make this film larger than life but believe me it is not. I have the full uncut version purchased abroad about a year ago or more. Don't expect this to be hardcore as it is not.
Don't waste your money going to see it Just get hold of a porn off the bloke down the pub and stick that on and pull a couple of beers or a take away. This is far more enjoyable than sitting have way through feeling bored stiff!
Hmmm I might get myself one of those trendy flags that sit in the corner of the screen they look so flash! In fact i might change me avitar too as i am getting bored stiff with that, But then again the user name will have no purpose?
9 Songs Boring, Boring, Boring. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
There Ya Go i got me a British Flag now, I have not been on this site for ages but it is well promoted on some of my websites as it is a very good site!

Also between Barbara Hershey & David Carradine in Scorsese's Boxcar Bertha (1972). In interviews, both Hershey & Carradine have said it was for real.

Likewise Kim Novak and Richard Johnson in the filming of "The Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders" (1965).
SAILOR WHO FELL FROM GRACE... unless we adopt the Bill Clinton definition of "that's not sex", although I prefer to believe in his chivalry rather than his honesty.

NOT necessarily. I remember the story that either Britt Ekland or Maude Adams replying to the diminutive Herve Villineuve expressed intention to make love to her, whilst on the set of "The Man with The Golden - eh - Gun".
Which ever Bond girl it was is meant to have replied "If you do, AND I FIND OUT - you're in trouble, Herve!"
Now Mickey Rourke - is anything of his, his Nik Naks perhaps, "Golden"? or is that JUST David Beckham?
