I have all Doomwatch episodes, apart from the missing ones, and Trevor Eve remake.D
Hi,
Looking for 1970's sci-fi series Doomwatch and the 1999 Channel5 remake.
I have many shows for trade.
Please pm me if you have the above series.
All the best,
Rod...

I meant I have remake as well haha.D
Is the episode called 'The Inquest' one of the missing episodes?.......I ask as Judith Furse played a character called Mary Lincoln in this episode, and was one of her last performances.....
There is a persistently strong rumour that the Beeb are likely to put out the existing episodes of Doomwatch as part of their 'cult television' DVD releases either next year or 2009.
I emailed the beeb and network about potential Doomwatch releases but they informed me thay had no plans. They often crop up on ebay, or rare tv...I got mine from ebay
I have a DVD which I picked up via Amazon a couple of years ago for about three quid. I just looked it up to see if it is still available .....
Amazon.co.uk: Doomwatch - The Plastic Eaters / Tomorrow, The Rat [1970]: DVD: Eric Hills,Hugh David,David Sullivan Proudfoot,Lennie Mayne,Terence Dudley,Joan Kemp-Welch,Darrol Blake,Quentin Lawrence,Vere Lorrimer,Pennant Roberts,Frank Cox
I am absolutley astonished by that price tag!
Bats.
I have a couple of these on VHS.
To be honest, I thought they were laughably bad, unintentionally funny even !![]()
No, the Inquest is not one of the missing ones.I have all those known to still exist, including the one never broadcast in the UK.D

Standard reply. I wouldn't read too much into it...
Yes, I remember reading someone planned to release those available, maybe the others will turn-up one day.D

It would likely be through 2|entertain (Network won't release any BBC material as long as they have the Granada Ventures deal).
After some reorganising within 2|entertain this year (e.g. getting shot of the separate Cinema Club label), there's been little in the line of 'cult television' releases. Let's see if they can bang out Doomwatch later next year.
As for the missing episodes turning up one day, well who knows...

Yes a few people have the episode 'Sex & Violence' that was not shown by the BBC at the time of production. Luckily due to the UK Gold repeats in the 1990's the series is very easy to obtain now except for the ones that were wiped by the corporation in the 1970's.![]()
Ah yes Sex and Violence, pleased to say I have that too...though by far the most scary and astonishing bit in that ep is the young Eric Pollard!
I remember him in a series called Freewheelers about 1970.D
