May everyone connected with the BritMovie website and those who contribute to this forum have a wonderful and very Merry Christmas.

May Santa bring you all the Brit film titles you need to complete your library.

Thanks everyone for the enjoyment and information you've shared on these very pages. Here's to the New Year.

    Cheers everyone.

    Dave.

Indeed!!! I was about to start a thread of my own saying the very same thing, but what the hell, I'll join this one.

I wish a very Merry Christmas and all sorts of seasonal felicitations unto everyone here at Britmovie. May our enjoyment of the best cinema and TV in the world never come to an end!!

You'll be seeing a hell of a lot more of me from now on, as after four long years, at the end of December I am resigning my membership of the British Horror Films forum. Even though horror is still probably my favourite genre, I have come to feel that I have been wasting my time on that site, particularly since it got hijacked by my ex-girlfriend and her 'gang', so to speak, and since every section started filling up with spam threads from people called 'Lornajzgkyke3228*$£!thnkf' and the like offering new deals on viagra mobile phone satnav bukkake, or whatever virus they're trying to peddle this week.

So, look forward to a lot more of me, and my opinions on British films and TV (maybe even radio) in general: I also promise everyone that I said I'd trade with this year that in 2007 I will be back in action, hopefully very soon!! My apologies for being lax: I was in a crap relationship....

Who knows, I may even, now that I've been here a year or two (and become a 'senior member' into the bargain) finally get round to writing that 'introduction' to myself that I swore I'd do the minute that I joined. I've got a lot of lost time to make up for, and I'm looking forward to my new "home" here.

So, once more, Jerry Crimble and Nappy Poo Ear (that's how we pronounce it where I come from) to all of you, and here's to a great 2007!!

Is that the forum at britishhorrorfilms.co.uk? Good site and iirc the owner lives just up the road from me.

You're always welcome here Jack but I'm sure you can find time for both forums. As it happens I was thinking of you recently when watching Maelstrom as I recall you mentioning it?

Well, it was a good site once, but I can't be bothered to post there anymore. There are too many people there that I despise. I need a fresh start.

As for MAELSTROM, yes I did mention it but I still haven't gotten myself a copy!! Soon, when things are back to normal.

Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous 2007 to all!

I've just been indulging in a regular Christmas tradition in our house by rewatching "Home for the Holidays," and just wanted to thank you Mr Moxey for this wonderful example of Yuletide Gothic. There are some fantastic performances from a top-knotch cast, an evocative score and, of course, impeccable direction! In my view it's a film, which is little remembered now but was fully deserving of a cinematic release.

I wonder, Mr Moxey, what memories you have of filming this? I don't think I've ever read any discussions of this classic TV movie, in print and would be fascinated to know more of the background. Many thanks.
