No subject. Just chat. What type of day have you had? What have you been doing today? What's it like in Australia,USA,Canada,or anywhere else in the world where this site stretches too?

Mine is a mundane day emphasised by work, but I am sure someone out there has something pleasant to tell us about.

So all of you members - it's over to you.

Good idea Marky, though my mind tends to go blank when I get invited to talk on any subject I care to think of!

I have had a very quiet day ..... in between piddling about on here I have finished painting the landing, watched a couple of episodes of Man in a Suitcase, been to B&Q, picked the boy up from school, played pirates, cooked his tea and am now awaiting the arrival of Mrs Bat prior to putting his lordship to bed.

    Gardening most of the morning.

Then off for a haircut, a visit to TESCOs to pick something up for tea.

An hour on the radio ( been a ham for 30+ years) then cook tea, eat it while watching " Weakest Link" . Wash the dishes then water the garden. There's been no rain here in Mancunia for about 2 weeks or more ( I know, unblieveable but true).

Boring maybe but beats working, I've done both and know which I prefer.

I had to put my heating on again last night! It has indeed gone a little dark and overcast, due for a downpour I think. If its any consolation I spoke to my brother today, he lives in Scotland and apparently its still very nice weather up there!

Don't be too disheartened it's a worldwide problem. No doubt the Man U and Chelsea supporters will put us all the shame in Moscow next week.

aye chris IM up this way, and it was hot today, but you know our crazy weathe, never go out without a brolly. Im a bit apprehensive about my holiday as hubbys wardrobe is a bit , shall we say lacking in taste dept, he has new flowery shorts and matching hat, hes also determined to take a straw cowboy hat, which will mysteriously disappear soon to be found in the charity shop. no way Im I parading through Crete with this beside me, Ill need to be tranquilised.

The usual busy day at work, but as it's Friday an early escape. Lunch at home (a thousand times better than the sandwich 'working through' norm!) with Mrs. Smudge. A little quality time fussing the felines. Caught up with last night's INVISIBLES and lots of DVD indexing.

Might just settle down to watch THE WOMAN IN BLACK later on - if Mrs. Smudge can stand it...

My wife loves crafting, these days it's card making, she spends most of her free time in her craft room.

I play radio and computing ( no games) we meet up at meal times and usually evening TV/film viewing, maybe that's why we get on so well and unlike many marriages theses days have lasted over 40 years.

    I don't have QVC!

No, it's not too early, donna - considering it can take me several weeks to make a special card. I'm also finishing off a birthday card for a friend for June before he goes out to his villa in Spain for the month.

I made some small cards today - and then realised that I didn't have any envelopes that size and you can't buy them.......so I had to make them as well!
