I'm going to watch the series again so will pop up the odd location shot. First one from Change Partners.

Isn't that part of the Merton Park studios itself?

I have the full collection except disc 9 (it was a dud and RareTV have gone) which, I guess, is Locker 69 as that is the only one from the IMDb that I am missing. Could someone please confirm that is so (Disc 9 is Locker 69). Very nostalgic.

On the Change Partners pic you could check it out against The Partner - the one set in a film studio, which was ceratinly filmed at the MP studios, and compare the two...

If it isn't the studios then I suspect it is a building very close to it.

    DB7,

I looked on Amazon and eBay to buy whatever DVD series of "The Mysteries of Edgar Wallace" was available but could only find bootlegs (described as royalty free etc.) obviously taped off the TV. If I recall correctly the best series was the one with the rotating head set to the theme music by The Shadows? Also, Is there a legit DVD release in the pipeline ? I would love to see these again....

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Edwward G.

Sadly, there's no sign of any legitimate release. Canal Plus are the copyright holders who don't seem to have much interest in exploiting their back catalogue. Hopefully, if the imminent new releases of The Avengers prove successful (and there's no reason why they shouldn't) they might change their opinion. Until then I'll have to make do with the 'unofficial' releases.

Nice one DS, you're turning into a right little David Bailey.

Moving on, one from The Man at Carlton Towers.

I've got mediaclassics copies and they're OK in the main, although some episodes aren't brilliant. Supposedly licenced by copyright holder but they are dvd-r. But in the absence of a remastered release they'll do.

The Shadows theme tune is one of the classics, isn't it?

It certainly is - complete with the famous "wrong note"

I am missing Locker 69 out of my Mysteries of Edgar Wallace Collection as the now defunct Raretelevision sent me a blank disc for that one. On reporting the error (after they closed) I received a duplicate of Disc 8 and another Dixon of Dock Green set.

Therefore I have Ed. Wallace: Dead Man's Chest, Never Mention Murder.

Dixon of D.G. Brass Neck, The Rotten Apple,Eye Witness and the Roaring Boy.

I will gladly swap these for a copy of Locker 69 which is Disc 9 in the Raretelevision's lot.
