    I recently watched the 4 part BBC TV Version of The Hound Of The Baskervilles from 1982, and i was disappointed with Terence Rigby's performance as Dr Watson, however i did enjoy Tom Baker's performance as Holmes and enjoyed watching the four episodes.

    i agree i also enjoyed tom baker as holmes and love all four episodes of hotb,but i thought rigby was a really good watson.

    I have to say that Terence Rigby as Watson was a big disappointment to me too. Although Tom Baker has never rated his own performance as Holmes, I think he did a good job, although he was far too physically bulky. The production itself is similar: solid and workmanlike.

    I just watched this, found it a rather flat adaptation.
